Zollwitz has been a district of the city of Colditz in the Leipzig district in Saxony since 2011 , previously the place was a district of Zschadraß .

Location and accessibility

Zollwitz is about 3 km southeast of the city of Colditz and can be reached via the B 176 . Located directly next to the district of Kaltenborn , Zollwitz, with its 400 inhabitants, is one of the larger districts of the city of Colditz.

history

Zollwitz was first mentioned as a settlement in documents in 1368 under the name Solubicz , which is probably of Sorbian origin. The first owner of the former manor in Zollwitz was Chamber Councilor Georg Ernst von Hart sucht in 1651.
