Kaltenborn has been a district of the city of Colditz in the Leipzig district in Saxony since 2011 , previously the place was a district of Zschadraß .
Location and accessibility
Kaltenborn is about 5 km east of the city of Colditz and is connected to it via the B 176 and Zollwitzer Straße.
history
Kaltenborn was first mentioned as a settlement in documents in 1215 under the name Caldinburne . Initially, Kaltenborn was parish after the Matthäi Church in Leisnig. Around 1260 reference is made to the earlier exemption of the church of Zschirla with the villages of Skoplau and Chaldenburne .
