The Colzium Hill is a hill in the Pentland Hills . The 477 m high elevation is located on its western flank in the southern part of the approximately 25 km long range of hills in the Scottish Council Area West Lothian . The eastern slopes of the Colzium Hills are already partially in the neighboring Council Area Scottish Borders .
The closest town is Tarbrax, about six kilometers to the southwest . West Linton is seven kilometers southeast of the eastern flank of the Pentland Hills. The surrounding hills include Torweaving Hill in the west, West Cairn Hill in the northeast, Byrehope Mount in the southeast, Craigengar in the south and Mealowther in the southwest.
Surroundings
Several streams arise on the flanks of the Colzium Hills. The Crosswood Burn rises on the south flank and is dammed up on the west flank of the Pentland Hills to form the Crosswood Reservoir . The reservoir is used to supply water to the West Lothian and Edinburgh regions . By contrast, two streams flowing down from the northeast flank feed the Harperrig Reservoir , which eventually drains via the Water of Leith . The Baddinsgill Burn, which rises on the eastern flank, does not feed the Baddinsgill Reservoir , but flows directly south of the reservoir into the outflowing Lyne Water .
