The Communauté de communes du Haut Trégor is a former French association of communes with the legal form of a Communauté de communes in the Département Côtes-d'Armor , the administrative headquarters of which was in Minihy-Tréguier . Its catchment area was in the northwest of the department. The community association founded on December 19, 2012 consisted of fifteen communities and counted 15,740 inhabitants (as of 2013) on an area of 147.8 km².
Historical development
The community association was created through the merger of the Communauté de communes du Pays Rochois and the Communauté de communes des Trois Rivières and started administratively on January 1, 2013.
With effect from January 1, 2017, the association merged with the Communauté de communes de la Presqu'île de Lézardrieux and the Lannion-Trégor Communauté and thus formed a successor organization of the same name.
Tasks of the community association
Since the majority of the municipalities were very small and had mayors (maires) as a secondary office, the communauté was responsible for various tasks of the municipalities involved. There were departments led by the president and vice-presidents of the community association (economic development, spatial planning and finance; children and youth; human resources, social services, health, cooperation and housing; culture and tourism; wastewater treatment, drainage, water use; sport, club life and communication; environmental protection and Local planning; waste collection and disposal), which performed cross-community tasks.
Former member parishes
The Communauté de communes du Haut Trégor belonged to 15 municipalities in two cantons. This included all ten municipalities in the canton of Tréguier and five municipalities in the canton of La Roche-Derrien . The member communities were:
