Lanmérin ( Breton : Lanvilin ) is a French municipality with 599 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Côtes-d'Armor in the region of Brittany . It is part of the Lannion arrondissement and the canton of Tréguier . The residents call themselves Lanmérinois (e) .
geography
Lanmérin is about 8 kilometers east of Lannion . In addition to the village of Lanmérin, the community also includes numerous scattered settlements and individual farms within the community. The southern and eastern municipal boundaries run along the Guindy River in parts . Another body of water is the Ruisseau de Kernélégan stream , which partially marks the northern municipal boundary .

history
Finds show a human presence since the Neolithic. A Roman road led through today's community. A church in Lanmern is mentioned around 1050. During the Second World War, partisans hid in the Guinavo mill. This was set on fire by the Wehrmacht and burned down completely.
