Pleudaniel ( Breton : Planiel ) is a French municipality with 928 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Côtes-d'Armor in the region of Brittany . It is part of the Lannion arrondissement and the canton of Tréguier (until 2015: canton of Lézardrieux ). The residents call themselves Pleudanielais .

geography

Pleudaniel is located in the far north of Brittany about 39 kilometers northwest of Saint-Brieuc at the mouth of the Trieux . Pleudaniel is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Pleumeur-Gautier in the north and northwest, Lézardrieux in the northeast, Plourivo in the east, Ploëzal in the south and La Roche-Jaudy with Hengoat in the west and southwest.
