Ploumilliau (Breton: Plouilio ) is a French municipality with 2481 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Côtes-d'Armor in the region of Brittany ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Lannion and the canton of Plestin-les-Grèves . The inhabitants are called Milliautais .
The village of Keaudry also belongs to the municipality .
geography
Ploumilliau is located on the estuary ( estuary ) of the Léguer in the Atlantic . In the south-east the small river Quinquis borders the municipality. Ploumilliau is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Ploulec'h in the north, Ploubezre in the east, Plouaret in the southeast, Plouzélambre in the south, Saint-Michel-en-Grève in the west and southwest and Trédrez-Locquémeau in the northwest.
