Pleumeur-Bodou ( Breton Pleuveur-Bodoù ) is a French commune with 3925 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Côtes-d'Armor department in Brittany . It belongs to the arrondissement of Lannion and the canton of Perros-Guirec .
geography
The municipality is located on the Atlantic coast , which in this section is called Côte de Granit Rose , around eight kilometers northwest of Lannion . The island of Île Grande off the coast is also part of the municipality . The place Pleurmeur-Bodou itself is about three kilometers from the coast, coastal towns of the municipality are Penvern , Kervégan , Kerénoc and Landrellec .
Neighboring municipalities of Pleurmeur-Bodou are Trégastel in the north, Perros-Guirec in the northeast, Saint-Quay-Perros in the east, Lannion in the southeast and south and Trébeurden in the west.
Transport links
The community is located away from national traffic routes. In the extreme north of the municipality runs along the coast the D788 departmental road , in the extreme south the D65, which leads from Lannion to Trébeurden. Local transport links are provided by the D6 (Trébeurden to Saint-Quay-Perros) and D11 (Lannion to Trégastel) roads. The Aeroport de Lannion-Servel airport is just four kilometers away.
