The Communauté de communes du Vimeu Industriel was a French association of municipalities with the legal form of a Communauté de communes in the department of Somme in the region of Hauts-de-France . It was founded on December 31, 1996 and comprised 14 parishes. The administrative seat was in the place Friville-Escarbotin .

Historical development

The community association was called "Syndicat à Vocation Multiple du Vimeu" (SVMV) when it was created in 1964 and initially comprised the communities of Friville-Escarbotin , Fressenneville , Feuquières-en-Vimeu , Woincourt , Chépy , Méneslies , and after a few months Yzengremer . Gradually, the municipalities of Valines , Nibas , Bourseville , Tully , Aigneville , Ochancourt and Béthencourt-sur-Mer also joined the association.

On January 1, 2017, the community association was merged with the Communauté de communes du Vimeu Vert to form the new Communauté de communes du Vimeu .
