Valines ( Picard : Valainne ) is a northern French municipality with 636 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Somme in the region of Hauts-de-France . The municipality is located in the Arrondissement of Abbeville and is part of the Communauté de communes du Vimeu and the canton of Friville-Escarbotin .

geography

The municipality is located east of Friville-Escarbotin and around 13 kilometers south of Saint-Valery-sur-Somme in Vimeu . On the southern edge of the municipality, the railway line from Abbeville to Eu runs with a stop just outside the municipality in the area of Chépy . The hamlet of Saint-Mard belongs to Valines.
