Lanchères ( Picard : Lanchére ) is a northern French municipality with 915 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Somme in the region of Hauts-de-France . The municipality is located in the arrondissement of Abbeville and is part of the canton of Friville-Escarbotin .
geography
The municipality 6.5 kilometers southwest of Saint-Valery-sur-Somme extends from the Somme Bay east of the Pointe du Hourdel south inland to the first heights of the Vimeu . The eponymous capital is on the meter-gauge railway of the Chemin de Fer de la Baie de Somme from Noyelles-sur-Mer to Cayeux-sur-Mer . The districts (from the north) of Wathiéhurt, Herlicourt, L'Alleu and Poutrincourt belong to Lanchères.
