Cahon (also Cahon-Gouy) is a northern French municipality with 199 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Somme in the region of Hauts-de-France . The municipality is located in the arrondissement of Abbeville and is part of the Communauté de communes du Vimeu and the canton of Abbeville-2 .

The trie in the municipality

The municipality, which extends to the Canal Maritime d'Abbeville à Saint-Valery in the north, is located around 8 km west of Abbeville on the railway line to Eu . The Trie river flows into this canal at the municipal border with Saigneville . The districts of Gouy on the right of the Trie and Petit-Cahon belong to Cahon.

history

The parish initially belonged to the Abbey of Saint-Valery-sur-Somme . In the 15th century it came to the Saint-Blimont family.
