Mers-les-Bains is a French commune with 2,825 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Somme in the region of Hauts-de-France . The inhabitants are called Mersois .

location

Mers-les-Bains is the westernmost municipality in the Somme department. It is located on the coast of the English Channel , at the mouth of the Bresle , which forms the border between Picardy and Normandy , embedded between the chalk cliffs . Characteristic for the place are numerous villas in the style of the 1860s . Le Tréport is on the other side of the department and regional border . The next bigger place is Eu .
