geography

The municipality is located about 6 km northeast of Ailly-le-Haut-Clocher and 8.5 km northwest of Domart-en-Ponthieu on the D108 departmental road, which forms part of the system of the Chaussée Brunehaut . history

Finds from Roman times and the proximity to the Chaussée Brunehaut indicate early settlement. Duroicoregum was a station on the Roman road from Amiens to Boulogne-sur-Mer .
