Hautvillers-Ouville ( Picard : Hautvilé-Ouville ) is a northern French municipality with 580 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Somme in the region of Hauts-de-France . The municipality is located in the arrondissement of Abbeville and is part of the Communauté de communes Ponthieu-Marquenterre and the canton of Abbeville-1 .

geography

Hautvillers is located in Ponthieu on the former Route nationale 1 between Abbeville and Nouvion , six kilometers away, and Ouville around 1.5 kilometers east of it. The homestead La Halle is located in the far west of the municipality. La Triquerie Castle is located in the east just outside the municipality, it belongs to the neighboring municipality of Neuilly-l'Hôpital (assigned to the Base Mérimée Hautvillers-Ouville).

history

In the list of goods of the Abbey of Saint-Riquier , the place is referred to as Alti Villaris in 831. Hautviller and Ouville united in 1826 to form a single municipality.
