Moyenneville ( Picard Moéyénneville ) is a French municipality with 716 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Somme in the region of Hauts-de-France . It belongs to the Arrondissement Abbeville and was the capital of the canton of Moyenneville until 2015 .

geography

Moyenneville is about eight kilometers southwest of Abbeville. The A28 (Autoroute des Estuaires) touches the east of the municipality . The municipality includes Bouillancourt in the far west and Bienlay in the east.

history

In May 1940, fierce fighting took place in the municipality.
