Bouttencourt ( Picard : Boutincourt ) is a northern French municipality with 931 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Somme in the region of Hauts-de-France . The municipality is located in the arrondissement of Abbeville and is part of the canton of Gamaches .

geography

The municipality is located on the right (north) bank of the Bresle opposite the larger Blangy-sur-Bresle and below the forests of Bouillancourt-en-Séry, which is on the plateau . In the east it extends beyond the A28 autoroute and the former Route nationale 28 . In the valley below the main town, facing Gamaches, the hamlets Ansennes and Monthières are opposite Monchaux-Soreng . The railway line following the course of the Bresle runs on the southern bank of the Bresle , part of the Seine-Maritime department .

history

The establishment of the Premonstratensian monastery of Notre-Dame de Séry on the territory of the municipality (settled in 1136) was based on the house of Cayeux.
