Coulonvillers ( Picard : Clonvilé ) is a northern French municipality with 231 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Somme in the region of Hauts-de-France . The municipality is located in the arrondissement of Abbeville and is part of the Communauté de communes Ponthieu-Marquenterre and the canton of Rue .
geography
The municipality consists of the districts of Coulonvillers, which are only connected by a narrow connection, and which is crossed by the D925, west of the Roman road from Amiens to Boulogne-sur-Mer , which later became part of the Chaussée Brunehaut system and now forms the D108 , and Hanchy, bounded in the north by D941, east of Chaussée Brunehaut. The route of the abandoned railway line from Doullens to Abbeville (now Voie verte, Traverse du Ponthieu ) runs through both parts . The Cumont farmstead is on the edge of the forest near Hanchy, and the Ferme de la Chaussée is on the Chaussée Brunehaut. Halfway between Coulonvillers and Le Festel, part of the municipality of Oneux , is the Saint-Gervais chapel. Another homestead, Les Quatre Saisons, is divided by the Chaussée Brunehaut between Cramont and Coulonvillers.
Toponymy and History
The name of the municipality is derived from the Latin Columvilla.
In the 15th century a permanent house was built in Hanchy, which was destroyed in the 19th century. In 1524 the place was burned down by the troops of Emperor Charles V. During the Second World War, German troops laid several runways between Cramont and Coulonvillers.
