Tours-en-Vimeu ( Picard : Tour-in-Vimeu ) is a northern French municipality with 818 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Somme in the region of Hauts-de-France . The municipality is located in the arrondissement of Abbeville and is part of the Communauté de communes du Vimeu and the canton of Abbeville-2 .

geography

The community on the Vimeu plateau extends in the southeast to the A28 autoroute . It includes the districts of Houdent, Corroy, Hamicourt and Longuemort.

history

In the middle of the 18th century, a bust of Cybele was found in the municipality . Further excavations uncovered a fanum .
