Bettencourt Church

Bettencourt-Rivière ( Picard : Bétincourt-Rivière ) is a northern French municipality with 230 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Somme in the region of Hauts-de-France . The municipality is located in the arrondissement of Abbeville , is part of the Communauté d'agglomération de la Baie de Somme and belongs to the canton of Gamaches .

geography

The two parts of the municipality are on the banks of the Airaines river , with its ponds , Bettencourt on the left (western) and Rivière on the right (eastern). The commune is crossed by the departmental road D216 from Airaines to Longpré-les-Corps-Saints . The single-track railway line from Longpré-les-Corps-Saints to Gamaches, opened in 1872 and closed in 1993, ran through the municipality .
