Comunidad de Teruel
The Comunidad de Teruel is a comarca ( administrative unit ) of the autonomous region of Aragon in Spain . It is located in the southern center of the province of Teruel and, like this, is named after the city of Teruel , which is also the capital of the comarca. The Comunidad de Teruel has 43,273 inhabitants on an area of 2,791.6 km².
The comarca borders in the west on the Sierra de Albarracín , in the north on the comarcas Jiloca and Cuencas Mineras , in the east on the comarcas Maestrazgo and Gúdar-Javalambre and in the south on the province of Cuenca .
Besides Teruel include the communities Ababuj , Aguatón , Aguilar del Alfambra , Alba , Alfambra , Almohaja , Alobras , Alpeñés , Argente , Camañas , Camarillas , Cañada Vellida , Cascante del Río , Cedrillas , Celadas , Cella , Corbalán , Cubla , El Cuervo , Cuevas Labradas , Escorihuela , Fuentes Calientes , Galve , Jorcas , Libros , Lidón , Monteagudo del Castillo , Orrios , Pancrudo , Peralejos , Perales del Alfambra , El Pobo , Rillo , Riodeva , Santa Eulalia del Campo , Tormón , Torrelacárcel , Torremocha de Jiloca , Tramacastiel , Valacloche , Veguillas de la Sierra , Villarquemado , Villastar , Villel and Visiedo to the comarca.
The commercial, administrative and population center of the comarca is the city of Teruel . In other municipalities, livestock is an important branch of the economy. There are ham with denomination of origin (span. Designation of Origin ) produced. There are also the paleontological parks in Galve and Dinópolis as tourist attractions , which combine knowledge about dinosaurs and the Jurassic era with the theme park concept .
