Condor / Cargo technology

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Condor / Cargo Technik GmbH (CCT) was an aviation technology company based at Frankfurt am Main Airport .

On January 1, 2009, Condor / Cargo Technik was merged with part of the external customer business from Lufthansa Technik's aircraft maintenance division to form Lufthansa Technik Maintenance International (LTMI). The customer base has therefore expanded to include ramps for other customers at Frankfurt Airport.

Condor / Cargo Technik was founded in 1994 to maintain the Condor Flugdienst and Lufthansa Cargo fleets - hence the name.

The CCT emerged from German Cargo . In the first few years, aircraft maintenance focused on the DC 8-73 freighter aircraft and the Condor's growing B757 and B767 fleet, but also the Condor DC 10-30. In the meantime, several other airlines are also among the customers. Servicing and maintenance work from daily checks to A-Checks up to and including C-Checks as well as short-term AOG (Aircraft On Ground) missions for aircraft of the types Boeing 737NG , Boeing 747 , Boeing 757 , Boeing 767 , Boeing 777 are offered , Airbus A330 , Airbus A340 , Airbus A380 (from August 2010) and MD-11 .

CCT has been 100% integrated into Lufthansa Technik since October 2005 . It operates aircraft maintenance in the newly built Hall 12 at Frankfurt Airport. With the founding of Condor Technik in 2008, a 100% subsidiary of Condor, CCT became LTMI at the turn of the year 2009 and continues to be a 100% subsidiary of Lufthansa Technik .

A total of four hangar spaces were available, one each exclusively with docking facilities for the MD-11 and the 757/767.
