AirBridgeCargo Airlines ( Russian ЭйрБриджКарго ) is a Russian cargo airline based in Moscow and based at Moscow-Sheremetyevo Airport . It is a subsidiary of Volga-Dnepr Airlines and the airline with by far the largest cargo volume in Russia.

history

In 2004, Volga-Dnepr Airlines founded a cargo airline called AirBridgeCargo, which began operating on the international market. AirBridgeCargo is the first Russian cargo airline to use the Boeing 747-200F to connect Europe with Asia via Russia. On January 27, 2012 AirBridgeCargo was one of the first airlines to receive the new Boeing 747-8F .

In 2015, at the Paris Air Show, the letter of intent was announced that the Volga-Dnepr Group wanted to buy more than the existing six Boeing 747-8F 20s and that the Boeing Group wanted to buy an Antonov An-124 from Volga-Dnepr Airlines for the longer term for the logistical needs of Boeing rented.

AirBridgeCargo says it flies to 37 destinations in Europe, Asia and North America. The main hubs are in Moscow and Krasnoyarsk . The transpolar flights from Krasnoyarsk to North America have existed since 2007.

The AirBridgeCargo fleet is maintained in Germany by Volga-Dnepr Technics GmbH at Frankfurt am Main Airport and at Leipzig / Halle Airport by AMTES GmbH in a specially built hangar.
