Constantino Amstalden

Constantino Amstalden (born July 7, 1920 in Indaiatuba , State of São Paulo , Brazil ; † February 14, 1997 ) was a Brazilian clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of São Carlos .

Life

Constantino Amstalden received on 8 December 1947, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On March 11, 1971, Pope Paul VI appointed him . the titular bishop of Hierpiniana and Coadjutor Bishop of São Carlos. The Archbishop of Campinas , Antônio Maria Alves de Siqueira , donated him episcopal ordination on May 23 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of São Carlos, Ruy Serra , and the Bishop of Petrópolis , Manuel Pedro da Cunha Cintra .

Constantino Amstalden became Bishop of São Carlos on September 19, 1986, succeeding the late Ruy Serra. On October 25, 1995, Pope John Paul II accepted Amstalden's resignation due to reasons of age.
