history

On November 27, 1967, Contipark Parkgaragen GmbH was founded in West Berlin . As early as 1975, business activities were expanded to Austria with the opening of the old town garage under Feste Salzburg . An important milestone followed in 1978: the takeover of the parking business from Shell Germany.

A closed accounting and control system was introduced at Contipark as early as 1983. In the German reunification year 1990, a total of 41 parking facilities were taken over by Deutsche Fina and Deutsche BP .

In 2003 the first ERP system was introduced and in 2004 the "Berlin City Control Center" was set up.

DB BahnPark was founded in 2005 together with Deutsche Bahn . The introduction of the P-Card for ticketless and cashless use of Contipark objects was implemented in 2007 and in 2009 the first e-charging station in Berlin was set up in a parking garage.

Finally, in 2010 the first tax control center will be opened in Austria . With the construction and opening of the multi-storey car park at Jena University Hospital , Contipark's first own construction project was completed in mid-2016.
