Copa de la Liga 1984
The Copa de la Liga 1984 was the second of four matches of the Spanish soccer league Cup Copa de la Liga . The competition began on May 6th and ended on June 30th, 1984. Participants were the 18 first division clubs of the 1983/84 season and last year's winners of the lower-class Copa de la Liga events : Atlético Madrileño from the Segunda División , Sporting Gijón Atlético and Albacete Balompié from Segunda División B and Real Madrid Aficionados , Real Madrid's third team , from the fourth-class Tercera División . Real Valladolid won the title . This qualified the club from Castile and León , for which this was the first major title in the club's history, for the UEFA Cup 1984/85 .
