Cornale ( Lombard : Curnà ) is a fraction and municipality seat of the Italian municipality ( comune ) Cornale e Bastida in the province of Pavia , Lombardy region .

geography

Cornale is located about 24.5 kilometers southwest of Pavia on the Scrivia River and its confluence with the Po and borders directly on the province of Alessandria ( Piedmont ). The place is in the climatic classification of Italian communities in zone E 2 619 GG.

history

Cornale was an independent municipality until January 2014 and merged with the neighboring municipality of Bastida de 'Dossi on February 4, 2014 to form the new municipality of Cornale e Bastida.

Neighboring communities were Bastida de 'Dossi, Casei Gerola , Isola Sant'Antonio ( province of Alessandria ) and Mezzana Bigli .
