Cornelia Manikowsky

Cornelia Manikowsky (born December 3, 1961 in Hamburg ) is a German writer .

Life

Cornelia Manikowsky studied German , history and psychology at the University of Hamburg after attending an art college in Holbæk ( Denmark ) . She worked as a research assistant on a historical DFG project and worked as a freelance seminar leader and lecturer in the subjects of literature and history at the University of Hamburg. She has been publishing literary works since 1988. She lives in Hamburg .

Cornelia Manikowsky is the author of short prose, narrative works, children's books and essays .

She received the following awards: 1988 and 1995 a promotion prize for literature from the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg , 1990 the Carinthian Industry grant at the Ingeborg Bachmann Competition in Klagenfurt , 1995 a residency grant from the Literary Colloquium Berlin , 1996 a residency grant from the Akademie Schloss Solitude in Stuttgart , 1996/97 residency at Künstlerhof Schreyahn , 1999 residency at Maison des Écrivains Étrangeres et des Traducteurs (MEET) in St. Nazaire (France), in 2000 a residency grant from Künstlerhaus Lukas in Ahrenshoop, and in 2002 a grant from Künstlerinnenhof Die Höge in Bassum , In 2012 the children's and youth literature prize of the SOS Children's Villages , in 2015 a residency scholarship at Château de Justiniac (France) and one at the Brecht House in Svendborg (Denmark).
