Between 1966 and 1968 he created small-format watercolors on paper. From 1973 onwards, Corsin Fontana used pork and beef bladders as material, filled them with clay and, after several further processing steps, displayed them dried and shrunk. The group of works on paper objects was created in the early 1970s. Fragile sculptures, wall and floor objects that took on a brown color due to the use of potassium permanganate . After the series cautery images , sun exposure and cobwebs objects followed woodcuts and then, from 1990, circular and oval configurations .

Corsin Fontana takes the time between the various groups of works to reorient himself and to discard old patterns. In this sense, each group of works stands for itself and there is no unnecessary production of workpieces.

His work is a combination of aesthetics and reference to nature.

"I strive for simplicity and sparseness."
