Cory Remekun (born July 15, 1991 in Dallas , Texas ) is an American basketball player .

After his time at St. Louis University , Cory Remekun moved to Germany and signed his first professional contract with the Dragons Rhöndorf . In the third-class ProB he immediately became one of the most dominant players in the league and was the best shot blocker in the league with 2.6 blocks per game . In addition, he brought it to 13.4 points and 8.1 rebounds per game. The basketball portal eurobasket.com named Remekun Defensive Player of the Year . In terms of sport, Remekun managed to get into the playoffs with the Dragons, in which the team was eliminated in the first round against the Schwelmer Baskets .

For the 2014/2015 season, Remekun first moved to Greece and played for the first division club from Kifisia . However, Remekun could not prevail as hoped and was only used in ten championship games, in which he scored an average of two points and 1.3 rebounds per game. At the beginning of 2015 Remekun terminated his contract in Greece and moved to Bosnia and Herzegovina . At first division HKK Široki Brijeg he received a contract until the end of the season.

In the 2015/2016 season, Remekun finally moved to Slovenia and joined the former runner-up from Rogaška Slatina . However, this could not build on the greatest club success of the previous year and was eliminated in the first round of the play-offs against the eventual title winner Helios Suns from Domžale . After their top scorer Hugh Robertson moved to the Rhineland to the German second division club RheinStars Cologne , Remekun was signed by the Slovenian champion Helios Suns Domžale, with whom he is expected to play in the ABA league .
