The Couasnon is a river in France that runs in the Maine-et-Loire department in the Pays de la Loire region . It rises in the Baugeois landscape , in the municipality of Auverse , first drains in a westerly direction, then swings to the southwest, reaches the Loire-Anjou-Touraine Regional Nature Park and flows 35 kilometers below Mazé , as a right tributary into the Authion .
