The Crater Lake National Park is located in the US state of Oregon . It includes the area of ​​the Mount Mazama volcano and the 594 meter deep Crater Lake in its caldera . The highest point is the 2722 meter high summit of Mount Scott in the east of the park.

Crater Lake National Park was established on May 22, 1902.

There are many hiking trails within the park and a number of campsites and lodges. Fishing and swimming are allowed, and there are boat tours to Wizard Island, the volcanic cone in the middle of the lake. The Rim Drive, the road around the lake, may be closed due to snow until late spring. In the national park there is also the Crater Lake Superintendent's Residence, a building that is designated as a National Historic Landmark .

Crater Lake was selected to represent the state of Oregon on the State Quarter (a commemorative coin) in 2006 .
