Cristián de la Fuente Sabarots (born March 10, 1974 in Santiago de Chile , Chile ) is a Chilean actor .

Life

Cristián de la Fuente is the son of a chemist and a housewife . He studied mechanical engineering at the Pontifical Catholic University in Puerto Rico . In his free time he was very active in sports and in his free time he played tennis , boxed and went skiing . It was discovered by an agent , whereupon Cristián de la Fuente initially began to work as a model . Later there were small roles and guest appearances in television series and films.

His international breakthrough came in 2001 in the film Driven . Directed by Renny Harlin , he plays the racing driver Memo Moreno alongside Sylvester Stallone and Burt Reynolds . Following this action film, de la Fuente received more roles in US productions. He can also be seen in various Spanish-language telenovelas . He is currently playing Ernesto Falta in Devious Maids.

The actor lives with his wife Angélica Castro and their daughter (* 2004) in Los Angeles .
