Cyril Gautier (born September 26, 1987 in Plouagat ) is a French cyclist .

Career

Cyril Gautier began his career in 2007 with the French Continental Team Bretagne-Armor Lux . At the U23 European Championship in Pallanza in 2008 , he won the gold medal in the road race .

For the 2010 season he switched to the Professional Continental Team Bbox Bouygues Télécom (later Europcar), which received a ProTeam license in 2014 , and drove for this team until the end of the 2015 season. He won the Route Adélie de Vitré in 2010 , the Tour du Finistère in 2013 and a stage in the Tour du Limousin the following year . He then continued his career at ag2r La Mondiale and won the mountains classification of the Mediterranean Tour in 2016 and the Paris – Camembert race for his team . In 2017 he won the sprint and mountain classification of the Tour of Valencia as well as a stage of the Tour du Limousin. In 2019 he won the mountain classification of the Tour du Haut Var .

Up to and including 2019, Gautier competed eight times in the Tour de France and once in the Vuelta a España . His best result was 25th overall in the 2014 Tour de France .
