Plouagat ( Breton : Plagad ; Gallo : plagát ) is a town and commune Déléguée in the French community Châtelaudren-Plouagat with 2,867 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in Côtes-d'Armor in the region of Brittany . The inhabitants are called Plouagatins .

The municipality of Plouagat was merged with Châtelaudren to form the Commune nouvelle Châtelaudren-Plouagat with effect from January 1, 2019 . It belonged to the arrondissement of Guingamp and the canton of Plélo (until 2015: canton of Plouagat ).

geography

Plouagat is about 17 kilometers west of Saint-Brieuc . The Leff River runs along the eastern border of the Commune déléguée . The municipality of Plouagat was surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Bringolo in the north, Plélo in the east and northeast, Châtelaudren in the east, Plouvara in the southeast, Boqueho in the south, Lanrodec in the west and southwest and Saint-Jean-Kerdaniel in the west and northwest. The National Route 12 runs through the municipality . The station is on the Paris – Brest railway line .
