The Feldberger (formerly D'Feldberger Spitzbuebe ) are a band from the Black Forest , named after the mountain Feldberg .

history

The Feldberger were founded in 1987 by Hansy Vogt (* December 25, 1967), Lothar Böhler (* November 22, 1970) and Chris Laubis (* December 12, 1970; † April 2, 2020). The three musicians were supported by Joe Kuttruff (born January 27, 1969), who joined them in 1997. The hometowns of the founding members were Feldberg , Holzschlag (near Bonndorf in the Black Forest ) and Titisee ; So in the area around the Feldberg in the Black Forest . This gave rise to the name D 'Feldberger Spitzbuebe . This name was shortened in 1996 to Die Feldberger .

The band quickly had their first successes regionally in southern Germany and won the coveted Black Forest Musicians Cup in 1990. In 1991 the first CD was produced, which paved the way into the professional show industry. After all, the band made their first TV appearance at the popular music parade produced by Dieter Thomas Heck on ARD and took first place with the title Music Makes Hearts Cheerful, despite very strong competition. Since that day the band has appeared in numerous popular music programs.

In 1993 the Feldbergers had the honor of traveling to Tokyo ( Japan ) on behalf of the federal government and presenting German music there. After various CD productions, the band organized the first Feldberger Festival on Titisee . In addition to many stars from the folk music and hit scene as well as from rock and pop, Joe Cocker also came and gave a special concert.

Important stations in the biography of the Feldbergers were fan trips, which they carry out every year with almost 1000 fans to the Côte d'Azur . In addition, the Feldberg Summit Party has been held annually since 1999. This is one of the largest winter open-air events in the midst of snow and ice, at which up to 20,000 guests are welcomed to the Black Forest every year.

In 2001 the Feldbergers were awarded the jury prize at the ARD Grand Prix of Good Mood . In 2002 her song Always only flying was made an official ski jumping song . Another big step for the band was the signing of a record deal with Sony BMG in 2004. This is where the album Fun Without Borders was produced; with the title Edeltraud from the album, the band first appeared in the German preliminary round of the Grand Prix of Folk Music in 2005 . This title was also represented in the airplay charts for a long time ; He also helped the band get into the bar charts, the party charts and the après charts for the first time.

In 2005, with the song Die Welt von dem Weit above sehn , which is also included on the album Fun Without Borders , the band succeeded for the first time in appearing in the airplay charts for several weeks with two songs at the same time.

The song We meet friends was presented by the Black Forest tourist region as an official contribution to the 2006 World Cup . In 2006 the Feldbergers signed a record deal with the Austrian record company VM / MCP, with which they are still under contract today. In the same year the Feldbergers took part in the Grand Prix of Folk Music with the song Mamma Mia , and the album of the same name Mamma Mia was also released . In 2008 the album Feldberger - Uns geht s gut was released ; Furthermore, the Feldbergers were appointed musical ambassadors by the Black Forest tourist region .

In 2009, the Feldbergers were obliged by ZDF to present a song with Andrea Kiewel in every issue of the TV show ZDF-Fernsehgarten . For the 20 programs, ZDF produced an album with the title Kultschlagerparty at Koch Universal Music .

For the 25th anniversary of the band, the album Feldberger - Eine wunderbaren Zeit was released in 2011 ; On the occasion of the anniversary there was an anniversary tour in 2012 together with the TV presenter and pop star Andy Borg ; Among other things, venues such as the Konzerthaus Freiburg or the Liederhalle Stuttgart were on the tour schedule. In 2013 the Feldbergers were named Artists of the Year .

Chris Laubis succumbed on April 2, 2020 at the University Medical Center Freiburg from injuries that he sustained while felling trees in Höllental when a trunk bounced back due to uneven terrain and hit his leg.
