Döhlen is a district of the city of Neustadt an der Orla in the Saale-Orla district in Thuringia .

geography

Döhlen is located northeast of the city near the arterial road towards Stadtroda / Jena (L1077). Through this street the incorporated district is connected to the traffic in the city to the federal highway 281 with connection to the federal highway 9 at Triptis . In the immediate vicinity, the slopes to the Saale-Elster-Buntsandsteinplatte begin north. The floodplain sites are fertile and close to the groundwater, whereas the areas on the slopes are remote from the groundwater. The areas in the lowlands are mostly built on.
