Linda bei Neustadt an der Orla (officially: Linda b. Neustadt an der Orla ) is a district of the city of Neustadt an der Orla in the Saale-Orla district in Thuringia . The district includes Linda, Steinbrücken , Köthnitz and Kleina .

history

Linda was first mentioned in a document east of Pößneck in 1378. The substance of a small rectangular hall church goes back to the traditional founding of the church in 1497. There are several courtyards on site with brick-view houses from the years 1902 to 1910. The Dutch mill from the middle of the 18th century had a wind turbine drive until 1867. Today only the technical system inside is preserved.

On July 1, 1950, the previously independent communities of Kleina, Köthnitz and Steinbrücken were incorporated.

On December 31, 2019, the Linda community was incorporated into the town of Neustadt an der Orla , which was previously a fulfilling community for Linda.

Culture and sights

Knapp mill

In Linda's corridor there is Thuringia's only gallery Dutch mill , which is named Knapp-Mühle after the owner . You can even stay overnight in the restored and lovingly furnished mill.

The first annual fair in the region takes place in Linda, which makes it very well known and always well attended.
