Egen Sogn ( dt .: Eken ) is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) on the island of Als in Northern Schleswig in southern Denmark . Until 1970 it belonged to Harde Als Nørre Herred in what was then Aabenraa-Sønderborg Amt , then to Nordborg Kommune in what was then Sønderjyllands Amt , which was merged into the "new" Sønderborg Kommune in the Syddanmark region as part of the municipal reform on January 1, 2007 .
2901 inhabitants live in the parish, 2408 of them in Guderup (as of January 1, 2020).

Duke Friedrich von Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Norburg , his wives Juliane von Sachsen-Lauenburg and Eleonore von Anhalt-Zerbst , and his son and successor Johann Bogislaw are buried in the medieval, Romanesque parish church of Egen .
