DC 9/11: Time of Crisis is a 2003 Canadian-American political thriller . Timothy Bottoms played the main role in the television film .

action

The action begins at around 9:00 am on September 11, 2001 , when an adviser to US President George W. Bush opened the message during a visit to a kindergarten: "America is under attack!" A few minutes earlier, a plane was in the south tower of the World Trade Center . His journey then continues to Ground Zero and culminates in his famous speech to the nation nine days after the attacks.

The film shows the many difficult decisions and actions that the President of the United States and his staff were exposed to, with the possibility of the first war of the 21st Century .

background

The first film to deal with the terrorist attacks of September 11th focuses less on the events at Ground Zero in New York City or the Pentagon , but rather describes the events around President Bush's staff.

The drama, which has never been shown on German-language television before, was shot in Toronto with a Canadian staff, so as not to remind American filmmakers of their trauma.
