GDR wrestling championships 1982

The GDR wrestling championships were held for the 34th time in 1982 and were held in the Greco-Roman style in Luckenwalde and freestyle in Halle (Saale) .

With Uwe Neupert , only one athlete received championship honors in both disciplines.

In the Greco-Roman style Günter Reichelt and Uwe Neupert managed to defend their titles from the previous year. This time, Peter Thätner was honored one weight class lower.

Michael Kleinschmidt , Uwe Neupert and Roland Gehrke defended their title from the previous year in freestyle .
