Daisuke Hideshima

Daisuke Hideshima ( Japanese 秀 島 大 介 , Hideshima Daisuke ; born October 23, 1968 ) is a former Japanese judoka . He was 1995 World Champion in the lightweight, the weight category to 71 kg.

In 1990 Daisuke Hideshima won a bronze medal at the Junior World Championships. At the Jigoro Kano Cup he was defeated in the final in 1990 Toshihiko Koga . In 1992 he won the final against Hideyuki Sakai . At the 1993 World Championships in Hamilton he was defeated by French Patrick Rosso in the quarter-finals , and after two wins in the Hope Round, he won the battle for bronze against the Italian Diego Brambilla . In 1994 he won the Masters tournament in Munich. At the 1995 World Championships in Chiba , he defeated the Brazilian Sebastian Pereira in the semifinals and the South Korean Kwak Dae-sung in the final . At the end of 1995, Hideshima won the Japanese championships.
