Dale A. Craigwell (born April 24, 1971 in Toronto , Ontario ) is a retired Canadian ice hockey player . During his career he played for the San Jose Sharks in the National Hockey League and the Augsburg Panthers in the German Ice Hockey League .

Career

Craigwell first played three years from 1988 to 1991 in the Ontario Hockey League with the Oshawa Generals with whom he played in the 1989/90 season after winning the J. Ross Robertson Cup in the final tournament for the Memorial Cup and also won it. In the 1991 NHL Entry Draft he was selected by the newly formed San Jose Sharks in the tenth round in 199th position.

The center signed its first professional contract for the 1991/92 season , but was initially mainly used by the Sharks farm team , the Kansas City Blades , in the International Hockey League . With the blades he was able to win the Turner Cup in the first year . He also played 32 NHL games in which he was able to achieve 16 points. In the following two seasons, the Canadian could not get stuck in the NHL squad and had to keep playing in the IHL. After the 1993/94 season , Craigwell initially missed the entire 1994/95 season because of a joint injury suffered in training camp. As a result, he was in no more NHL game on the ice, although he stayed in North America until the 1998/99 season.

During the 1998/99 game year Craigwell decided to move to Europe to join the Augsburg Panthers in the German Ice Hockey League . He let his career fade away in the following two seasons with the Sheffield Steelers in the British Ice Hockey Superleague and ended the same in 2001.
