The Fast Crew Supplier 2710 is a type of ship from the Dutch shipyard Damen Shipyards Group . It is based on the Fast Crew Supplier 2610 .

description

The ships are designed for the quick transfer of personnel for the construction or maintenance of offshore structures such as B. Offshore wind farms or structures in the offshore oil and gas industry. They are made of aluminum. The hull is designed as a catamaran . It is based on the shipyard's “Sea Ax” concept .

The vessels are of two four-stroke - twelve-cylinder - diesel engines from manufacturer Caterpillar : driven (type C32 TTA). The motors act on a fixed propeller via gears . Two generator sets with 38 kW output each (48 kVA apparent power ) are available for the power supply. The ships are equipped with two bow thrusters with 64 kW each.

The ships are only about one meter longer than the predecessor model Fast Crew Supplier 2610, but are equipped with a larger deckhouse and can therefore carry 24 people in the standard version, twice as many as with the predecessor model. Five double cabins are available for the ship's crew . Other divisions are also possible upon customer request. The bow area is intended for the transfer of personnel to offshore structures. The bow area is equipped with rubber fenders for approaching offshore structures.

There are open deck areas in front of and behind the deckhouse. The open deck area is 90 m². The deck can be loaded with 1.5 t / m². A maximum of 20 t of load can be loaded on deck. The deck can be fitted with container fittings for the transport of containers . A crane for moving loads is located in the fore ship area on the starboard side. The crane can lift up to 20 t.

A moon pool can be installed so that the ships can also be used for measurements and water science tasks .
