Dan "Daniel" Hunt (born November 21, 1976 in Dallas , Texas ) is an American football official and entrepreneur .

Dan Hunt was born on November 21, 1976 in Dallas, Texas, as one of four children to influential American sports personality Lamar Hunt . His grandfather Haroldson Hunt and his two uncles Nelson Bunker Hunt and William Herbert Hunt are or were oil billionaires. While his sister Sharron now owns the Dallas-based company Unity Hunt , among others , Brother Lamar Hunt Jr. is a successful entrepreneur, sports official and philanthropist, and Brother Clark Hunt is an equally successful entrepreneur and sports official who also invests in US football.
