Daniel James "Dan" Immerfall (born December 14, 1955 in Madison , Wisconsin ) is a former American speed skater .

Immerfall began his athletic career as a sprinter, he was considered one of the best in Madison and Wisconsin. He later switched to speed skating, where he first appeared internationally in 1973. At the Sprint World Championship in Oslo in 1973 he finished 13th after winning the second run over 500 meters. In the following years in Innsbruck in 1974 and in Gothenburg in 1975, he came in 26th and 9th.

In any case, the most successful year was 1976. At the Junior World Championships in Madonna di Campiglio he finished 17th in a small four-way battle and won the first race over 500 meters. He was able to win the bronze medal at the Olympic Winter Games in Innsbruck over this sprint route . He finished the race over 1000 meters in twelfth place. At the Sprint World Championships in Berlin in the same year , he was runner-up after winning both 500 meter races.

In the following year, Immerfall finished 25th at the all- around world championship in Heerenveen and ninth at the sprint world championship in Alkmaar . He finished the 1978 Sprint World Championships in Lake Placid as 17th, in 7979 in Inzell he was eighth, in 1980 in West Allis twelfth. That year Immerfall also took part in its Winter Olympics in Lake Placid. He took fifth place over 500 meters.

By the end of his sporting career, Immerfall took part in other international competitions and four other sprint world championships.
