Daniel Williams II (* 15. December 1969 in Ypsilanti , Michigan ) is a former American American football poker players. He played seven seasons between 1993 and 2001 in the position of defensive lineman for the Denver Broncos and the Kansas City Chiefs in the National Football League (NFL).
college
Williams attended the University of Toledo between 1990 and 1992 , where he played college football with the Toledo Rockets . During this time he was able to achieve 256 tackles and 28 sacks .
NFL
Denver Broncos
In the 1993 NFL Draft , Williams was selected as the eleventh player in the first round by the Denver Broncos . He was thus the höchstgedraftete player in the history of the Mid-American Conference before Byron Leftwich 2003 as the seventh and 2013. Eric Fisher as total first selected. To select him there, the Broncos previously exchanged their first and third round picks to the Cleveland Browns . His first three seasons with the Broncos were marked by injuries, which is why he only took a starting position in 1996. After the 1996 season , his contract was not renewed. During his time with the Broncos, he was only able to score four sacks in 39 games .
Kansas City Chiefs
For the 1997 season , Williams was signed by the Kansas City Chiefs . Because of his achievements, the Chiefs Williams placed the transition day . Williams was not happy about this, however, and refused to play for the Chiefs in the 1998 season . Despite this refusal, he returned in 1999 and played for the Chiefs until 2001 before he had to end his career due to injury. During his time with the Chiefs, he was able to achieve 23 sacks in 41 games, including 25 as a starter.
