Rongzhag

Rongzhag ( Tibetan : རོང་ བྲག ། , transcription after Wylie : rong brag ; Rongdrag or Chinese Danba ; Chinese  丹巴 县 , Pinyin Dānbā Xiàn ) is a district of the Garzê Autonomous District of the Tibetans in the Chinese province of Sichuan . In 1999 it had 55,519 inhabitants. Its main town is the large municipality of Chaggo (Zhānggǔ 章 谷 镇).

The ancient Diaolou of Rongzhag (Danba gudiaoqun 丹巴 古 碉 群) have been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China (6-697) since 2006 .

The mineral danbait was named after the place.
