Sêrtar ( Tibetan : གསེར་ ཐར ། , transcription after Wylie : gser thar ; also Serthar or Chinese Seda Chinese  色 达县 , Pinyin Sèdá Xiàn ) is a district of the Garzê Autonomous District of the Tibetans in the northwest of the Chinese province of Sichuan .

Its main town is the large community of Sêrkog ( 色 柯 镇 ). The district has an area of ​​9338.98 km² and an average altitude of 4127 m. At the end of 2006 it had 37,723 inhabitants.

Administrative structure

At the community level, Sêrtar is composed of four large communities and 13 communities . The district government grouped these 17 municipalities into four “sub-areas” ( 片区 ), which were inserted between the district and the municipality level in order to improve the efficiency of the district administration. The administrative structure is thus as follows:

  • Sêrtang sub-area (色 塘 片区):
    • Greater community Sêrkog (色柯镇), seat of the district government;
    • Community Horxü (霍西乡);
    • Greater community Nubsur (洛若镇);
    • Community Nyainlung (年龙乡);
  • Sêrba sub-area (色 尔 坝 片区):
    • Wungda Municipality (翁 达 镇);
    • Community Golutang (歌乐沱乡);
    • Gyaxoi municipality (甲 学 乡);
    • Xoreb parish (旭日 乡);
    • Community Yanggo (杨各乡);
  • Sêrqu sub-area (色 曲 片区):
  • Nyiqu sub-area (泥 曲 片区):
    • Community Kainieb (康勒乡);
    • Kegor municipality (克戈 乡);
    • Greater community Nyidoi (泥朵镇);
    • Community Razham (然充乡).
