Sêrtar
Sêrtar ( Tibetan : གསེར་ ཐར ། , transcription after Wylie : gser thar ; also Serthar or Chinese Seda Chinese 色 达县 , Pinyin Sèdá Xiàn ) is a district of the Garzê Autonomous District of the Tibetans in the northwest of the Chinese province of Sichuan .
Its main town is the large community of Sêrkog ( 色 柯 镇 ). The district has an area of 9338.98 km² and an average altitude of 4127 m. At the end of 2006 it had 37,723 inhabitants.
Administrative structure
At the community level, Sêrtar is composed of four large communities and 13 communities . The district government grouped these 17 municipalities into four “sub-areas” ( 片区 ), which were inserted between the district and the municipality level in order to improve the efficiency of the district administration. The administrative structure is thus as follows:
- Sêrtang sub-area (色 塘 片区):
- Sêrba sub-area (色 尔 坝 片区):
- Sêrqu sub-area (色 曲 片区):
- Nyiqu sub-area (泥 曲 片区):
