In the same year he was also used twice for the Romanian Olympic selection as part of the qualification for the 1988 Olympic Games .

After (depending on the source) 103 or 106 games for Sportul Studențesc in the first Romanian league, in which he had scored two goals, and after he had graduated as a sports teacher, he left the club at the beginning of the 1992/93 season and left settled in Germany .

There he first joined FC Konstanz in 1993 before moving to SG Egelsbach for two years . From 1995 Ciucă played at Rot-Weiß Oberhausen , with whom he became German runner- up in 1997 and in 1998 made it to the 2nd Bundesliga . There the Libero was elected team captain and played 130 second division games for the club, in which he scored five goals. After seven years, Ciucă moved to the Oberliga Hessen for SV Darmstadt 98 for the 2003/04 season and helped Bruno Labbadia's team move up to the regional soccer league with four goals in 19 championship games . From 2004 to 2005 he was active for 1. FC Eschborn and after eleven games for the SV Erzhausen coached by Thomas Epp in the 2005/06 season, Ciucă ended his active career.

After his career, Ciucă acquired the A license as a DFB coach and began to work as a players agent licensed by FIFA. At the beginning of the 2008/09 season he acted in the soccer Hessenliga as a coach at Germania Ober-Roden , but had his contract terminated on September 29, 2008 for health reasons. Ciucă then switched to gastronomy . In August 2009 he took over the “Kaminzimmer” in Darmstadt , runs a café in his hometown of Reghin and is also the owner of the “Starcafé” bar in Offenbach am Main, which opened in October 2010 .
